Volunteer at the Purple Heart Desert Thrift Shop
It is only with the help of our volunteers that the Purple Heart Desert Thrift Shop is able to help those in need in our community. Please consider joining us. It's more than just work. It's friendship, fellowship, and fun, all while giving back to the community. Both year-round and seasonal residents enjoy being part of our team and there's room for you, too!
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Sales Floor volunteers work directly with customers, answering their questions and assisting with their purchases.
- Production volunteers work in the backroom departments doing one or more of the following activities: organizing, cleaning, labeling, pricing and putting items on the sales floor.
- Other volunteers are needed for specialized positions that may cross over various departments within our stores.
Shifts:
The following shifts are available for our volunteers, Monday through Saturday (Tuesday through Saturday during summer):
- Sales Floor:
- 9:30 am - 1:30 pm
- 1 pm - 5 pm
- Production Area (Backroom):
- 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
- 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
